In 2022, my family’s life changed when my little brother, Aiden, was diagnosed with Stage 4 Hodgkin’s Lymphoma at just seven years old. We were on the way to Ocean City for a family trip, when my mom heard the words that shattered our world: Your son has cancer…

Hearing those words was terrifying and heartbreaking. We could not fathom the thought of losing him, and we were left wondering how we could help him fight disease.

That was when Blood Cancer United became such an important part of our journey.

Blood Cancer United provided our family with access to life-saving research that helped us better understand Aiden’s diagnosis and explore all the treatment options available to him. Beyond research, the organization offered an incredible support system that helped Aiden and our family navigate one of the most difficult experiences of our lives. Having access to reliable information, guidance, and encouragement made a meaningful difference throughout his treatment and road to remission, and ultimately saved his young life.

As someone who has witnessed firsthand the impact of blood cancer, I understand how important it is for families facing similar challenges to have access to these resources. A diagnosis affects more than just the patient. It impacts entire families, who must find the strength to keep moving forward while navigating uncertainty and difficult decisions. Blood Cancer United helps provide the research, resources, and support that families need during these moments.

This is why the Health & Wellness Committee is working to raise $10,000 for Blood Cancer United through our Cancer Walk. Every donation brings us closer to our goal and helps support the organization's mission to advance research, improve treatment options, and provide assistance to patients and their families.

For my family, this mission is personal. We know what it means to need hope, guidance, and support when facing a life-changing diagnosis. We also know how much of a difference these resources can make.

I encourage everyone to consider donating to our cancer walk and joining us in supporting Blood Cancer United. No contribution is too small, and every dollar can help make a difference in the lives of families facing blood cancer.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you for your generosity, compassion, and willingness to support this cause. Together, we can help ensure that more families receive the research and support they need when they need it most.
