• With 150+ Youth and Teen Ambassadors, SAYVA is one of the DMV's most active youth-led service communities

• We show up every day through hands-on service, cultural celebrations, and advocacy that matters

What Does SAYVA Mean?

Our name is rooted in the Sanskrit word Seva — meaning to serve selflessly and with dedication. It's not just a name. It's a standard we hold ourselves to every time we show up for our community.

We believe that celebrating who we are, serving with compassion, and connecting with one another builds stronger, more inclusive communities. With small  and sometimes large  acts of kindness, everyone can make a difference.

What We Do

SAYVA empowers young leaders to take action through:

• Hands-on community service events locally and globally

• Cultural celebrations that honor South Asian heritage

• Advocacy for causes that matter to our generation

• Mentorship and leadership development across age groups

• Fundraising for partner organizations making real impact

Our Story

Founded in 2020 and led ever since by teens who believed young people could do more, SAYVA has grown from an idea into a thriving movement. What started as a small group of passionate ambassadors has become a community of 150+ young leaders committed to leaving things better than they found them.
